Re: 338-375 Ruger Demon

can somebody post a pic of the 338 Demon next to a 375 Ruger, Sounds like a winner !
I have a 338 Edge with 30" bbl, the velocity listed for the Demon and 250 gr bullets is similar to what my rifle is getting, I am definately interested !

Re: 338-375 Ruger Demon

Here's a picture of the 338-375 Ruger with some other rounds for comparison.

Left to right: 6mm BR 68gr Berger fb, 308 Win 168 HPBT, 300 WSM 185gr Berger VLD, 338-375 Ruger 250gr MK, 375 BME 350gr MK.

The 338-375 will cycle through a Savage long action with the OAL shown. I haven't played with it much from rifle barrels, but I have a 22" and a 24" barrel I'll chronograph sometime this winter. The rifle barrels I have are just lite weight hunting barrels so I just stuffed a 225gr Accubond over 82.5gr of H4831sc and called it good. Zero at 200 and it's 7" low at 300. Never worried about it further than that from the rifles.

I will get you some pictures of both in the next couple days. There several variations of the 338-375 Ruger. The Demon is mine and the only difference is when i had the reamer built i had then push the shoulder forward .015".

Time to test the 300 gr. Bergers in the Demon. Due to compressed load conditions i fear it will not perform very well. But worth a shot anyways. And I miss stated my barrel length in earlier posts. Its a 27"

Rigmaster 10,

Also would like to hear how the 300 performed in your rifle. Anyone else shooting a 300 Berger OTM from the 338/375 Ruger?
