IMR has to listings for 4198 one for 110gr bullets and other for 180gr bullets the 110 is listed for 38grs of 4198, 180 is for 33gr 4198 you should be able to get 2500 with 34-35gr but start at 33gr and work up

Brian - thanks - I found some info in a old publican sheet and found some on Steve's reloading site . called winchester ammo 1-800-356-2666 and am waiting for a call back - looks like between 32 to 37.well win just called ,and have nothing ,only use their own products , will have to call IMR thanks for the info

Old fart,
In the future, if you ever want a really dense accurate 150 grain load at 2500 FPS, try RL-19 at 50-52 grains and 4350 at the same. Velocities are around 2485-2525 and the accuracy will astound you with the 150-155 grain bullets!

just got back from the range - only shot about a dozen , ended up at about 2500 fps , 36 gr - right about 80%density , no pressure signs at all . I'll try again tommorrow before it snows . I would rather shoot different powder ,just have a lot of 4198 , thanks

gents - I have a large quanity of winchester 150 gr pp bullets and a large quanity IMR4198 , would like to load these for 308 practice loads , would like to see 2500fps , but haven't been able to find any data - can any body help while I keep looking - thanks
