.300 WM and .30/06 performance from 20” barrel

Hi,
I am looking at Browning pump action in one of the above calibres. Unfortunately (?) it comes with 20” barrel. I would appreciate some informed comments regarding the loss of velocity/energy as well as the increased muzzle blast associated with the shorter barrel.
Thanks!

The blast from a BAR in 300 mag with a 20" tube is just plane nasty!! I expect that the 30-06 will be pretty bad to if the gun is offered in 308 that may make a beter chioce as the velocity that you will loose with that short of a barrel in the overbored calibers is gonna be great realy not offering much over the 308 .

Thanks!
Makes you wonder why such rifles are even manufactured. I was seriously considering Dualis in .300 WM but I would probably go for Remington 7600 in 30-06.
Cheers
