Re: 300 ultra mag bullets
Thanks to the advice given to me on here, I started reloading for my 300 RUM about a year ago and I don't plan on shooting another factory load through it. With that said, I shot the sciroccos in mine up until I got into reloading and they did okay. (never tried them at 600 yards though) Nosler Accubonds both 180 and 200 grain, Hornady 208 A-Max, and Berger 210 VLD's are popular choices for the 300 RUM. My gun likes the 210 VLD's (3045 fps, 92 grains Retumbo, 215 primers and Remington brass) but I don't know if they are available in a factory load or not. If I had to choose a factory load, I would probably try Nosler Custom Ammo w/Accubonds and then try to find some Bergers if the Accubonds didn't shoot well. There are many other choices besides the ones I listed....good luck!

Re: 300 ultra mag bullets
The 180 Grain sciroccos in factory ammo shoot well. i have never shot them, but heard good things as far as factory ammo, HSM. They load a 210Gr berger that should get you out to 600 pretty easy.

Re: 300 ultra mag bullets
Cheaperthandirt.com has those in stock. They are 150 grain and it seems you are needing the 180s.

Re: 300 ultra mag bullets
I have a 300 RUM also. I use to shoot the 180 Swifts out of my rig also. Key word here is use to. On a Alaskan black bear hunt they failed me. Long story short is that I have change to the Nosler 200gr. accubond. Much better results for terminal performance.
I would strongly caution against the smaller bullet and fast as possible FPS mentality. This can have some disastorous results on bigger game animals.
I would rather shoot a bigger slower bullet on big game every time.
