300 Berger Gen 2 Litz velocity banded G1 data...

Hi all,

I'm looking for 300 Berger Gen 2 Litz velocity banded G1 data. Checked several sources and haven't gotten it yet. Anyone have Litz's data on this bullet?

Thanks,

Jon

    The top of the box of 300 gr Berger hybrids says .818 G1, .419 G7

    It is very dependant on distanve and velocity. To 1000 or 1200 I have good results with a G1 of .820 starting with a MV of 2780 to 2800.

    Guys, Is the velocity banded G1 data for this bullet in the back of Litz's 2nd edition book, by chance? I have the first ed. book, but not the second. If someone has the 2nd edition, please look it up for me, would you?

    It should list a certain G1 bc at 3K fps and above, 2500fps, 2000fps and 1500fps and below. Then you must calculate the average between 3K and 2500, 2500 and 2000, 2000 and 1500 and then use the stated G1 for 3K and above and 1500 and below resulting in G1 data for five (5) velocity ranges. A single G1 can't do this with near the accuracy and inputing the velocity banded data is a very easy thing to to.

    A single G1 bc is not 'velocity banded G1 data'. I have had very good luck used Litz's velocity banded G1 data input into Exbal for the 210 Berger and would like to do the same for starters for the 300 Hybrid. It's got to be out there somewhere.

    Re: 300 Berger Gen 2 Litz velocity banded G1 data...

    1,500 fps = .755
    2,000 fps = .821
    2,500 fps = .833
    3,000 fps = .854

    So, G1 with 'lower velocity limits' of:

    3000fps = 0.854
    2500fps = 0.8435
    2000fps = 0.827
    1500fps = 0.788
    0 fps = 0.755

    Didn't make a hill of beans difference in firing solultion using Exbal using the averaged lower velocity limit above or the .818 average G1 Berger puts on the box last night at 580 yds and 15 deg down angle on a small framed 4x4 Muley on the High Buck Washington State hunt. Like Broz said, probalby doesn't matter to much out to 1200 yds or so. I haven't played much with it yet, though.
