The problem with driving bands is they create more drag...

They do good things for velocity just as you say, however 100fps lower velocity is much less of a penalty than a ~20% increase in drag... something else for you to think about...

Want proof? buy bryan litz`s second edition book...

corbin sells tungsten powder to add to the lead core of bullets to bring up the s.g.mixing lead and tungten this way is still hard to get consistant cores.
