    The originator of this cartridge makes all of his stuff in 8 twist. However, there are those shooting them at around 2900 with 10 twist in WSMs

    I'm going to go wayyyy out on a limb here but what I think your saying is Kirby uses a 1-8 twist in his 270AM

    The three guns Grouper was talking about are all 1 in 9 twist 5R Rock Creek bbls. According to Kirby, that twist is plenty fast enough for the 169.5s even at moderate speeds , which proved out with the great accuracy of the three guns mentioned!! ------ RHB
