The dies are on the way from Idaho.

The press will be along shortly

I'll have to build a table top stand for the press.

Apartment living has its limitations.

1300 bucks a month and the place doesn't even have a reloading room.

Should have stuff shipping somewhere around the first week in March.

The first run will be 168s and 180s.

I'm confident that the 168s will work well in the WSM if twist is sufficient.

I doubt the 168 will pan out in the AM unless its kept down around 3200, which may not be to shabby.

the jury will be out on the 180s until some field tests come in.
I was loading WC 195s and they were distorting badly but and dusted about 40% of the time.

We'll sure find out.

This is gonna be fun

BTW, these bullets aren't built from scratch. They are fully customized however. Kind of like chopping the 32 Ford, back in the day. It was different looking and performed different but was still a 32 Ford but way cooler.

I was runnning the 169.5's at 3165 ft/sec. Will that be OK for the new 168's. I'd like to try the 180's, I never did try the 195's in my 270 AM. I can pm my address if needed.

Can't wait, now that I only have 100 of the 169.5's left.

The WC 169.5s I believe, were made with Corbin tapered jackets and are great performers both ballistically and terminally. I loaded, if I remember correctly (my books are back in Idaho) w/99 grains of US 869 upwards of 3300 fps????

195s were make with something like J3/J4 jackets and wouldn't stand the robust treatment in about 1/2 of the Lilja 3 groove barrels @ 3000 FPS plus. After somewhere around the typical 400 rounds they started dusting on a regular basis.

Berger 150s wouldn't hold up to the rigors of the barrel experience at AM velocities. I saw no use to load them down to around 3200 when I can shoot the 140 NAs @ a solid 3600.

Those that have expressed interest in burning some powder behind these "new customized high BC bullets PM me your physical addy and I'll get you some.

Do you think 25 would be a sufficient number. I'll accept suggestions on the number. We want to wring these things out pretty thourghly.

I won't have a rife for testing until later this spring.
