22-243 loads
I am looking for some help. I want to shoot the 75 grain v-max in my 22-243's so can you tell me what your favorite load and powder is. Also if you shoot the 80 and 90 grain sierra include that to please. Thanks in advance.

Re: 22-243 loads
Try Retumbo, for the AMax and Bergers 49 grains of Retumbo behind a Fed 210 works pretty good. It's a nice slow powder that will help with barrel life as well

Re: 22-243 loads
Slow powders are barrel burners

Re: 22-243 loads
Silver, I don't know where you got the chart, but I don't agree with it at all. Your chart says that in a .22 caliber shooting H1000 A person would get 500 rounds out of a barrel. My 22-243 has 1000 rounds through it shooting Retumbo and still shoots bugholes. I have a 6.5-06AI with over 1500 rounds through it and still shoots less than half inch.
