I'll be down around 24 inches but I don't think I lose much speed with the dasher. The dasher is just a 22 br improved with 40 degree shoulder. Thanks Reed

Re: 22-243 Ackley with 100 Wildcat RBBT Tests

Dave Wilson,

I have not tried the GS but I have tested the 70 gr TSX and there just is not enough bullet weight to make this case volume work with the correct burn rate powders.

I am sure I could use some quicker burning powders and make things work but then I may just as well drop back to my 22-6mm AI chambering.

I may give the 90 gr SMKs a try but I doubt they will handle the 1-7 3 groove Lilja any better but they may??? I had not thought of that one yet. I heard they were designed for 223 Rem velocities so did not imagine they would have a chance.

We will see.

Kirby, I am thinking you will need at least a 6.5 twist for that 90. That is what the Hi Power guys are experiencing, anyway. It seems most have found the 90's aren't worth the time and effort. That little .223 case appears maxed out w/ the 80's. Jim
