200,220 hpmk on grounghogs

sirs,
how do these bullets work on said animals?
if i can drive them to say 3200 fps using a 3oo ultra mag.
also can a 24x scope be used for said hunting.the rifle is now being made.it sports a 30 in hart barrel in hv contour on a 700 action in a 40x stock.

    Sounds to me like you have a groundhog rig!!

    Using 200 and 200 MKs on groundhogs shouldn't be a problem, might be a little too much gun for those 'twinkie' sized versions in early Spring though. [img]images/icons/grin.gif[/img]

    It sounds as though you'll have enough gun for PD's but I'm not sure about groundhogs. Hogs put on a lot of extra body weight in late summer and are much harder to anchor then PDs.
    You should really consider a rig with more bullet weight. [img]images/icons/grin.gif[/img]
