Hornady recommends 1 in 8 twist on their website but I have been told that they should stabilize fine in the Remington 1 in 9.25 twist. I will find out as soon as I can get to the range with my 7RUM. Berger recommends 10 twist for their 168 gr VLD and 9 twist for the 180 gr VLD. Hope this helps.
The critters have to win every time, I only have to win once.
I've shot them also in a factory 7mmRM, 1-9.5" twist @ 2950fps and they were fine to 500 yds which was the furthest I've shot with that rifle.
I've shot them at 1000yds with a 7 WSM and a 1-9" twist @ 3000fps, .5-.75 moa no problem for 5 shots.
My 1 in 10 twist 7 RM stabilizes them fine.
When I build my 1000 LG I talked to Joe Thielen an engineer at Hornady who shoots the 162gr A-max in a 280HK 1000yd LG and he said a 1 in 9 twist was best. In fact what he said was I wouldn't even consider going with a 9 1/2 twist.
