Re: 100g Btip

Not to change the thread, but I shoot a .257 Weatherby and have loaded the 115 combined Tech Ballistic Silvertip in the past, and am thinking about doing so again (it seems to be the one bullet that shoots sub m.o.a. on a consistent basis out of my . I load it to right at 3,400 fps muzzle velocity. Having worked in the Nosler plant, what are your thoughts concerning this bullet and the use I am employing it will be/has been mule deer, antelope, coyotes etc.

Re: 100g Btip

300 Winnie,

If you have any other questions you can just PM me. But the combined technologies are just a BT with the trademark lubelok coating and BTs are pretty explosive at anything over 2900/3000 fps. I went to the heavier partitions you dont get the ballistic co. but they usually shot better and dont fragment the way a BT does. The accubond on the other hand opens like a BT but stays together like the partition. Its just with them you will have alot of copper fouling from the jacket which is essentially anealed in the bonding process. Leaving much softer than the standard BT. Just remember there is no perfect bullet for everything. Oh yeah on coyotes.... hope you dont want the pelts. I had quite a few two(or three) piece coyotes. I shot five on my antelope trip. Not one even spun around after the shot. Bang flop!
