ZEISS Wins Two Outdoor Life Top Honors For HT & HD Binoculars

NORTH CHESTERFIELD, VA., May 20, 2013 – Carl Zeiss Sports Optics, the world's leading manufacturer in high performance sports optics, received two coveted Editor's Choice Awards for the new VICTORY HT 10x42 and CONQUEST HD 8x32 in the Outdoor Life's 2013 Gear Test. John Snow, Outdoor Life Shooting Editor, presented the Editor's Choice Awards during the 2013 NRA Annual Meeting in Houston, Texas.

Outdoor Life's optics tests were held in Montana this year, to determine the best new sports optics products for 2013. An independent panel of experts and hardcore hunters pushed each piece of glass to the limit evaluating optical quality, mechanical precision, ergonomics and low light performance. ZEISS is proud to announce that the VICTORY HT 10x42 binocular won the award for best full-size binoculars and the CONQUEST HD 8x32 earned the Editor's Choice Award in the mid-size binocular category.

“This is an incredible day for ZEISS“, stated Mike Jensen, President of Carl Zeiss Sports Optics USA. “The Outdoor Life’s optics test is the toughest in the industry. To earn a single Outdoor Life Editor's Choice Award is an unbelievable accomplishment considering the level of competition, but to win BOTH binocular categories is a testament of how strong our product line has become”.

VICTORY HT 10x42 binoculars are the brightest super premium binoculars in the world with 95% light transmission or more. The innovative optical concept consists of SCHOTT HT high transmission glass, Carl Zeiss T* multi-layer coatings, and an Abbe-König-prism resulting in a set of binoculars that has unrivalled brightness and stunning clarity. New design features also include the revolutionary Comfort-Focus-Concept and the extremely robust Double-Link Bridge that will provide hunters with more durability and ergonomical comfort than other super premium binoculars.

CONQUEST HD 8x32 premium mid-priced binoculars are compact and lightweight, extremely durable, and ideal for archery hunting, rifle hunting, hiking, travel and a multitude of other outdoor activities. The new HD lens system sets new standards in its class and provides exceptionally true and neutral color fidelity. The tried and true Carl Zeiss T* multi-layer coating ensures that the CONQUEST HD offers light transmission of more than 90%, making them optically competitive with other much higher priced super premium brands.

VICTORY HT and CONQUEST HD binoculars are backed by Carl Zeiss’ industry-leading 5 Year No-Fault Policy, in addition to the Limited Lifetime Transferable Warranty.
