If there's anything negative (at least for me) with the March scopes is that it has
no lifetime warranty, IIRC 5 years only (unless it has recently changed) and I'm not sure of it's transferability. If you do have a problem who can fix it? Kelbly (
http://www.kelbly.com/), or a trip back to Japan? ;)
For that kind of money I'd expect a lifetime warranty, and repair service within the CONUS.
Just my 2-pence for your thoughts.

March scopes are quite possibly the best scope at any price. They are way over engineered, and are known for their top-quality Japanese glass and their perfect tracking.
The 5-year warranty is not a real issue, because Deon (
http://www.deon.co.jp/march/) will fix or replace the scope as long as they exist as an ongoing concern. The only reason that the warranty is capped at 5-years is due to Japanese law, which takes into account the size of a company when capping their warranty terms. Deon is not a huge company, so they are capped at an unreasonable 5-years for their written warranty. A large company like Nikon would be allowed to publish a lifetime warranty. Deon will stand behind their product, no matter what Japanese law forces them to put on paper.
