Re: Are VxIII\'s suitible for long range?

I'm going to have turrets installed on my Leupold and from talking with some techs from Leupold they told me the more you use it, make adjustments the more accurate it will track. He said over time if the adjustments are not moved the springs will develope memory and will track better with use. Makes sense to me.

Re: Are VxIII\'s suitible for long range?

I shoot the VariX-III 4.5-14x40 AO tactical on my .25-06AI and it RULES!! It's a bummer they don't make it anymore, to get the mil-dot and turrets you have to go to the 30mm tube and side focus. I've had a couple of others with turrets and the Leupold is by far the best. I do dial about 6-8 clicks past my intended range then back down, it's very accurate that way.

Re: Are VxIII\'s suitible for long range?

I have been using a Leupold LR 6.5x20 VX III on my 300RUM and haven't had and tracking problems at all. I have been very pleased with this scope thus far. When I was shopping for a scope I put my hands on a lot of them (exept the NF) and thought the Leupold's clicks felt more positive and exact then any of the rest so that's why I picked this scope.

I have had a VXIII 6.5-20LR on my 7mm Rem Mag. for the past 4 months with no issues yet. It always returns to zero with no issues.

Re: Are VxIII\'s suitible for long range?

All I own are Leupolds. 5 Mk4s, 4 VX3 EFRs, 1 VariX3 Tactical. And various LRTs and MK4s that I have sold/traded. I have never had any problem what so ever with any of them. All are very reliable, repeatable, and great glass. Heck, my Varmint AR15 with a VariX3 Tactical, fell 3' OFF a table onto a tile floor and didnt even lose zero!!
Run that Loopy you wont be disapointed!!!
