Guys I'm in need of a new scope for my hunting rig. I have been happy with all my vx3's 6.5-20x40LR in the past, but now I wonder If I'm missing something Better.. All I do is practice and Hunt with my gun. No competition. We shoot game up to 800 yrds. And practice to about 1200. I have tried the nightforce option and for the extrs cash its not worth it for me. I like the new Vortex warranty and was pretty impressed with shooting their new scope.
I havn't got to use huskmah yet and have been very interested in shooting with one..
So here is the big ??? In your opinions.. What is the best scope for hunting out of these 3? And how do you like yours?
I have Nightforce, vortex and leupold and in that order is how I would purchase them. If your not looking to drop $2k into optics and still want a damn good piece of glads vortex is the way to go. Not saying leupold isn't good just saying I'd by vortex or leupold all day.
+1 for vortex in your three options. Never used Huskemaw but have heard good things. But still with the vortex warranty you can't beat there optics.

My dear boy if 5 miles away they don't sit up in their beds and ask what the HELL was that, the gun is not big enough!
I have a couple of Huskemaws, as well as several NF NXS, BR, and MK4 Leupolds. I have not used a Vortex. The Huskemaw is an excellent scope that has very concise, and reliable tracking, excellent optics, and tough as nails. I have them on my most accurate 6.5x284 long range hunting rigs. Used them for over four years and have complete confidence in them. It's the only scope out of the lot that has a yardage calibrated parallax knob that actually works. The company pays attention to details like this. Its well worth a look.

Huskemaw. I have 4 of them; have been using them for 5 yrs never had to find out about the warranty. Clarity is equal to my Nightforce side by side comparison. If you want to purchase because of warranty go with the Leupold, you will more than likely get to put the warranty to use. Myself I would rather use a product that does not need a warranty. Now in case I have offended anyone with my critisism od leupold in the last 5 years the only scope I have sent in for warranty was a Leupold. I have never needed to send in a zeiss, Nightforce nor Huskemaw.
