Everything should be tested. Still I am surprised that they are a that different. As long as they are repeatable it is all good for me but every scope from every maker should be checked as an SOP.

Either one would be very good.

I think better one should go for "vortex-razor-hd-5-20x50" coz one of the best rifle scope manufactured by Vortex. Its amazing for rapid close and mid-range shooting. With its Scope Weight: 35.2 oz & 5x to 20x magnification range, you get the best out of it. I bought it recently & must say its worth to spend.
