I have browsed for a while trying to learn about this long range sport for building a new rifle. I figured I should at least provide some helpful information for my first post. I ran across this info. some time ago from the provided link.
  • Pronghorn antelope = 14"-15"
  • Small deer = 14"-15"
  • Medium size deer = 17"-18"
  • Large deer = 18"-20"
  • North American wild sheep = 20"-22"
  • Mountain goat = 22"-24"
  • Caribou = 24"-26"
  • Elk = 24"-26"
  • Moose = 30"-36"
North American Animal Anatomy

Hope this helps.

One of the gentlemen on another forum created a series of targets that will allow you to compare and check your mil and moa and inch per hundred yard reticles so you can see where they all come together. They are rather large targets. Some are designed for 50y and others for 100y. If anyone wants copies PM me here or email me and I will send them. Oh, you need to take them to Kinko's or some other printing place because of the size.
