Value of Used Swarovski STS/65 HD Spotting Scope w/20-60X Eyepiece.

Hey guys.

I have a Swarovski STS/65 HD spotting scope with 20-60X Eyepiece and hard case I am thinking of selling. I bought it mainly for a trip to Africa, intending on doing some digital photography with it. That's why I paid the extra cash for the HD model. Swarovski kept delaying release of the Digital Camera Adapter for the new line, so I never did get it in time. I ended up taking it just for viewing, but it never left the case.

I used it at the range a couple of times and took varmint hunting once. Since I rarely use it, and it's an expensive piece of kit, I will likely let it go. The lenses have never been cleaned and it's in mint condition. The green aluminum case has a small dent in it from transport to Africa, but everything else is perfect.

It retails at www.riflescopes.com for $1867 USD, but I am not sure what to ask as a somewhat used piece of equipment. Anyone have any suggestions as to what I might expect to get for it?

As long as the lenses have been properly maintained you should have an expectation of 85-90% of the original value on the retail market.
It's a fine piece of glass.
