How did you come to this conclusion? Not trying to argue but if you are referring to the assertion that the scope and rings should be of the same material due to differing expansion-contraction rates for steel and aluminum, that argument has pretty much been proven wong. For the original poster, i have had good experience with TPS rings, but the only time I tried to use one of their bases, I got a bad one. It was a 20moa base and had a severe bow in the base, nowhere near straight.
