Re: Stupid mount question

Ok is there an easy way to figure out the clicks? If my scope is an 1/8" @ 100yds, 1/4" @ 200 yds etc, I am still trying to figure all the math out like how you got 39.3 moa out of 412". I do understand how to check the scope with the 39.3 moa.

So 1 MOA = 1.047 @ 100yds
X 10 for 1,000 yds gives you 10.47
/ by 412" gives you the 39.3 right?

Man I should have paid more attention in school, but that was along time ago

So how does that equate to an 1/8" adjustment scope? I need a chart!

1/8" @ 100
1/4" @ 200
3/8" @300
1 1/4" @ 1000 is that right?

If I just take the 412"/1.25 I get 329.6 clicks

So one calculator I found http://www.biggameinfo.com/index.asp...2fbalcalc.ascx says its like 346 clicks for 1/8" clicks, is that right, I am still trying to figure out how to get the number of clicks?

This one looks a little better? http://www.eskimo.com/~jbm/calculations/traj/traj.html

Your math is right. as far as your adjustment your scope is (or im assuming it is because ive never seen a 1/8 in adjusting scope) 1/8 Moa witch is .130875 in adjustment at 100 yrds. Im not shure of the math for the click adjustment but just running some numbers in my ballistic program for 165 remington factory ammo loaded with nosler bt i come up with 287 clicks to get to 1000 yrds with 100 yrd zero it also says the bullet has 414 in drop. But if anyone knows how to do the math for this i would like to know.
with only 60 moa adjustment in your scope i think you will need 20 moa bases to get to 1000 yrds.

Re: Stupid mount question

It is an 1/8" @ 100 yd adjustment. Ya I am gonna have to get a 20 moa mount, I did get the burris signature rings, maybe I can squeze some out of them.
Thanks for the help everyone, I hope my math is right I dont know how else to do it?

Sorry I am on vacation this week, the weather is bad, my scope is not here and I'm bored so I am just trying to bone up on the class room portion so I will be ready to hit the range.
