That approach will work, if you never change bullets, never change the velocity of said bullet, never change elevation that you hunt,........ well heck its just kind of limiting

Is this the right way to go? It is a lot of $$$ for me so I do not want to invest into the wrong one. I think I can get one for about $825 and have M1 Turrets put on by the Pro shop and maybe save some money instead of buying a MK-4 M1 for $1245.00.

That would be my choice, although I personally would look at other scope options.
There are others out there that are as good as the Leupold for less money, not that there's anything wrong with a Luppy, just a little over priced for what you get. Just my .02 cents
