Scope manufacturers article

Not too long back, I ran across an in deapth article about scope manufacturers. It dealt with who still makes scopes in the good ol US of A and the three (I think) manufacturers in Japan. If someone can direct me to that article it would be appreciated.

Don't believe that any scopes are made in the US any more, some are assembled here, but parts are made else where

Didn't know that. I saw an American Rifleman episode a few weeks back and they had all the aluminum blanks there cutting and manufacturing the scopes. I wasn't sure about the glass but it looked like they were still making the tubes, objective bells, and eyepieces from raw material.
