Scope Featured in Mudways Latest Add

Does anyone know what the deal is with the latest 'sniper' scope advertised in the Midway flyer? The scope is called the "Counter Sniper Crusader Scope" and is said to be a military contract overrun for the US Government.

Any guesses as to who manufactures the scope? Is this just another piece of junk, worked-over Trashco/Barska/Millet, tactical scope wanna-be'? Or is this the 'real deal' and a great value? Does anyone have first hand experience with this scope?

They are not military over-runs.

Probably some Asian or Ruskie low priced stuff like "Trashco/Barska/Millet, tactical scope wanna-be'es"...

Here, kitty kitty kitty.

Actually the scopes are US made-the glass is said to be from Schott which is German. The internals are all metal and they are built well. For now the scopes have 1/8moa adjustment but they are expected to switch to 1/4moa in the future. The user reviews so far have been favorable but it is still early. There are several reviews on other forums. For the money they do seem to have potential. Will they compare to my $2000+ US Optics scopes- doubt it but they may be able to fill the gap between cheap scopes and very expensive- as I said we will have to wait and see.

I got one of these the other day. I havent done much with it other than mount it on my .308 savage 12. I did look down the bore and bore sight it, but other than knowing that the cross hairs respond when you turn the knobs I cant say anything about the internals.
The glass is maybe a little better than the super sniper that was on the gun, but not on par with higher end scopes. It is fairly clear, the side focus works nice, but it is heavy and I am not particularly fond of the lighted recticle. You get a kind of halo reflection inside the tube with the lighted recticle. I havent noticed this on my NXSs. One thing that is kinda neat is that the recticle can be lit in either red or green, but the brightness adjustments are only like three clicks and insufficient. I am not fond of the recticle.
The scope pics up okay light at dusk. Took it out in the yard after it got dark enough where I could barely see my wind flag and cold not see my 100 yd target at all. When I looked through the scope I could see both well enough to make a shot. I then ran and grabbed my 223 which sports a vx3 lr 4x14. The leupold gatherers just a tad more light. When I get back from my hunt I will try and determine how well it tacks and let you know. This is not a super high end scope but so far I am not disapointed, nor am I super impressed, but I think it is going to work for my needs.
I admit that I know just enough to be dangerous.....but dangerous at ever extending distances.
