Ring height for S&B 3-12x42 30mm

Peter et al, what ring height would you suggest using for the S&B 3-12x42 Precision Hunter rifle scopes? I would be using the Leupold DD system on a Rem700 L/A with a #5 contour barrel.

mate i'd be checking out a picatinny rail and corresponding mounts, the dual dove tail isn't the best mounting system available and that S&B deserves better.
have a look at Ken Farrer and TPS, you might need meduim, depending on the base height, to clear the butler creeks.
