By the way, what happened to it that made you have to send it back?
Their Customer Service is awesome. I sent in an older RF1 rangefinder a few years ago and they fixed it no charge. It was 10 years old, discontinued and I was not the origional buyer.
I sent the Laserguide in a few weeks ago with a set of binos that are 14 years old. They were coming apart and getting moisture in them. They already fully repaired them along with a ton of upgrades and sent them bach to me. No charge again, and these look like brand new, new cover, eye pieces, lense coatings they really look like you took them out of the box new.
I was a bit supprised they didn't give me a new Rangefinder since the production date on mine was last august. But I will not complain. They notified me that it needed to go to Austia and will take 8 to 10 weeks due to customs hold ups. I am sure when it returns it will be in top condition. Their service is great.
As for what was wrong with it. It would freeze and not power up. You had to remove the battery and put it back in to get it to work again. This was getting increasingly worse. Lat time out it did it 3 times in one day. And yes, I did install a new battery, twice. It also started giving me bogus ranges on hard to read targets at long distances. Like when trying to range a 1400 yard target it would come back with 2 or 300 yard reading. I carefully cleaned the lenses for this problem, but it didn't help.
Sorry for the long wnded post.
