Rangefinder reflector?

Anyone use a Survey prism or some type of reflector to extend the distance that their rangefinder will read?

I am thinking that a bank of survey prisms should extend the readable distance of a range finder to well over its design distance with high accuracy.

A sheet of reflective tape might also work?
