Re: Range Finders
I haven't used the Leup rangefinder, but am the proud (new) owner of a pair of Swarowski Laser Guides. They have a very clear monocular lens, switchable bettween meters and yards, have a scan function and best of all are rated out to 1500yds.
I can verify this, ranged a sheep in a nearby field whilst at my range a couple of weeks ago, read 1544 yds, took a step forwards read 1543 yds. tried them on an electric pylon I can see from my rear bedroom, I wasn't sure if I would get a reading but I was pleased to seee a consistant 1988 yds!
Very, very happy with them and best of all, they come with a belt holster, whcih locks so you cannot drop them.
IMHO, I would give these a try before deciding on anything else.
