Well, the Zeiss PRF has even a larger bea divergence than the Swaro. Don't quote me but I think the Zeiss Rf is 2.0 x 4.0 mrads. In the terrain you are talking , to 1000 yards in tall sage and junipers you will have to be very careful to make sure te unit is ranging the elk. In my opinion the Leica 1600 would be a much better choice for your type of hunting.
