Opinions needed

I'm in need of getting a scope for my 308 and have been looking at the Sightron SIII 6-24x50, Bushnell 4200 6-24x50 and the same Bushnell except in the 6500 series. My question is that I shoot around 200 rounds a month at steel plates from 300 - 1000 yards and dial each shot, which scope do you think would hold up to the abuse of cranking the turrets that much? which would have a better customer service for warranty in case a turret or something else crapped out? I'd appreciate your experiences with any of the above scopes. My budget is around $800 but if a better scope is with-in a couple hundred bucks I could always save a few more pennies, I just want to purchase one scope that I can rely on to not let me down. Later,

Kirk

IMO of the 3 you listed the SIII and 6500 would be the two top picks and if Customer service is a big selling point Sightron has very good CS. Not that Bushnell doesn't but I think Sightron's CS is much faster when and if you have to send something back.

+1. The sightron SIII would be my first pick. Nothing wrong with any of these choices. I did have an issue with one of my Bushnell 6-24x50T scopes. Had it looked over at the Canadian Bushnell waranty department and got it back better than ever. took almost 6months though. Good old Canadian thing though and US Bushnell support would be probably way quicker so take my comment for what its worth (which is not much! LOL)

+2 for the SIII. Have one on my 308 and this scope has been completely dependable. Even going over 1,000 yds, when returned to zero it's right on the money, every time. No experience with the others, they're probably good scopes as well, but the Sightron rocks.
