Re: Old Ranging Scopes

I still have a Redfield 6X18 on my 7mm Wby with after market target turrets. I believe that the Accutrac was the model that had both the stadia and the factory bullet drop knobs. I had one of those too. Worked fine on a 25-06 where shots were not more than 500 yds or so.

For the stadia only model I beleive it was called an "accurange". I do not believe my scope has any writing on it to double check this. If you are writing an article and do not wish to appear foolish in print, then whip me out an email to remind me and I will search for my original manual to see what I can find. Do not mean to confuse you. I just do not think Accutrac is right for stadia only scope. Alternative is to use Accutrac to describe the stadia and dial up scope.

PS. Very, very good scope. Dial up and down and all around all day long.
