NxS illumination

i was out for the first time sunday with my scope.
it was about +5C out and i had no illumination of the reticle.
brought the rifle out today to clean it and it worked again.
does the battery fail when its cold out should i have a couple in my pocket to keep them warm and swap em out when i need it?
any one else have issues in the cold?

Oh and i got to say unfricken believable optics i have ever looked through.

I've had a few different NXS scopes in much colder temps in Alberta and Alaska with not problems with the illumination.
You may want to put a fresh battery in and give it another chance.

I've used mine down to -40 no problems.

I've used mine to -10 f no problem.

Are you looking through the scope in daylight, for the illumination? Also the intensity may need to be set.

DOH,,, yes it was day time . iwill give it another shot see if it happens again and i will bring a new battery...
