Nikon turrets?

I have a Nikon Titanium 3.3-10. Has been a terrific scope, but since I have started dialing for distance the turrets are a little tough because they do not have any #'s on them. The 5.5-16.5 Monarch that I have looks to have the same turrets w/ #'s etched on the turrets so you don't have to count clicks. They are not interchangeable though, slightly different size.

So, my question. Does anyone know if Nikon or someone aftermarket make a replacement turret to fit the Nikon Titanium scope? It does not need to be a tactical turret, if it fits under the caps that would be fine.

You have to look at the order form for a complete listing of scopes and yes, they make one for your scope.

What do you all think of the yardage on the turrets vs moa? Seems to me that you better be settled on a load or you have to purchase a new turret every time you use a different bullet. Maybe a little more simple with no drop chart needed. At what distance does current conditions like elevation, temp, etc. make enough difference to render the permanent yardage marked turret unreliable?

It seems to me that there are some disadvantages to this system that out weigh the advantages. I wonder if they would make a simple moa turret?

Steve, you're right there are pro's and con's to every system, and this system may not fit everyone's style. The Kenton knobs are probably good out to 800 yards or so, and as you mentioned are really only good for one pet load. You may need to actually call them and ask about knobs for your scope as some are not shown on the website. They are extremley helpful.

This is a little off subject but nikon monarchs have interchangeable hand turrets. does any one know where you can purchase these. The 5-20 & 6-24 come with them but the whole line of scopes are designed to accept them. thanks fellas
