Nightforce. Are they that good?

Apart from the 1/4 adjustments, these scopes seem to be the ideal for long range hunting. The price is, in my opinion, very expensive. I had a look through a couple and was not impressed by the optic quality. The S&B and Swarovski seemed to be far brighter. I must admit, the reticule on the NF was ideal for my needs, but apart from that, they do seem extremely expensive.
What are the real attraction of these scopes?

My NF's all have the 1/8 MOA adjustments -- need that for 1k BR and for extreme range precision shooting. I also like not having the additional moving parts inside the tube with the side focus.

i personally shoot a 8x32 nxs on my 6x47 lapua for f class. i on the other hand hunt with a IOR. i love my NF for shooting the steel or paper. i like the IOR more for hunting because its got a fast focus eye piece. erek elevation know so i have 25 moa on 1 revelution. they still have good reticles. not to mention that you can have a butler creek cover on the eye piece, you can have them on the NF but when you change power settings it will also spin the cover.
