I owned few scopes far now, with MILDOT, or MP-8 , NP-R1, and I like more the NP-R1 with 1 MOA for Elevation, and 2 MOA for Windage.
If you need the scope for varmint LRH go with NP-R1 or NP-R2.
And get the Zero-Stop option too.
I have the 8.5-32-56 NF NP-R1,and I love it. I shoot at deers with 15 power but I cranck up at maximum power for more detail view, adn take the shot at 15 power (up to 1033 yrs) After 1k I need to go on 22 power.
About the reticle change, sorry I don't know. But if you ask Scott @ LibertyOptics, he will be the right person to give you adviced.
