Nightforce Optics equality?

I am looking at a Nightforce NXS 5.5-20 x56 or a 8-32 x 56 .. I do 1000+ yard shooting on a 12 inch round gong so the 32x would be nice.. already got one. My question for anyone knowledgeable on optics as I am more inclined to the area of ballistics; is all thing being equal will the 8-32x56 at 22x look the same as the 5.5-22x56? they are both 56mm objective diameter. The 22x has a field of view of 17.5 feet at 22 X. While the 32x has 12 feet field of view at 32x so is that to say at 22x on the 8-32x56 scope you will see 17 feet as well? If so what is the advantage if any of going with the 5.5-22x56 over the 8-32x56??? They are about same price so it through me off a bit.

I started with the 5.5~22 on my 338 Lapua. Then changed to the 8~32 then went back to the 5.5~22. The 32 was a bit much on most days showing a lot of mirage. Also the loss of field of view at 32X was more than I liked. The 32X was nice on a target at 1000 on those perfect days though. But the main reason I went back was the fact the 32 only has 65 moa of elevation. I shoot ELR and prefer 100 plus moa. The 22X does indeed have 100 moa of elevation.

Sorry I can not answer the question about the field of view with both on 22X.
