Re: nightforce ?
The objective "glass" is 24mm.
The NF NXS 5.5-22x56 has a 65mm objective on the outside, but the glass is 56mm... there lies the confussion.
The 2.5-10x24 has a 30mm straight tube for an objective, the glass is 24mm inside. It is not any larger than that, and both it and the 1-4x are the same.
1-4x24 @ 1x = 16mm, and 4x = 6mm
This could be up to 24mm exit puple but there's problems with FOV and eye relief if they allow it to be that much larger than necessary, so they reduce it. Over about a 12-16mm exit pupil, you run into these problems.
2.5-10x24 @ 2.5 = 10.1mm, and 10x = 2.5mm
The turrets are less than half the height of the current NXS.
They have 100 MOA of elevation, but could have easily had a bunch more but wasn't necessary for the application.
Parallax is set at 200 yards, but like my 3.5-10 VariX3, it will be parallax free for quite a long ways farther, 600-700 yards likely.
The left side knob is a 9 position, click type, lighted reticle adjustment on these models, like the BR scopes have, only in the side parallax knobs location.
The 2.5-10x24 will run about $1100, not sure on the 1-4x24.
Keven at NF was the contact for this.
