Which Night force scope to suit my 240wby?

Mainly i want an opinion on which recticle to get as i am looking at the
3.5-15x50.

What are you going to use the rifle for? Varmints, Target, Deer sized game?

Is it a factory rifle with a 24 inch barrel?

Its a custom made rifle using a ruger action and a 26 inch schilon barrel.

Targets are Roos and deer.
In Australia you need tags from National parks to control roo numbers and we have several hundread to fill on 2 properties.

Ranges are as long as you want to make them.

With a 26 inch custom barrel you can probably get the 105/7's VLDs to about 3200 fps, maybe a little more. This will reliably kill a 100#-150# small boned animal to at least 1K. While the BC of these bullets are high for 6mm's, they are still subject to a lot of wind drift at long range so things can and will go wrong on the windy days.

So a lot would depends upon your hunting style and whether you will be taking short range shots of 50 yards and staying under 1K. I personally would like a little more top end power for a scope than 15X but I suppose I could live with it if I needed to take a lot of short range shots.
