New Scope has shipped!

Horus has a new scope that is known as the HORUS FALCON. I was intrigued by something I heard at the S.H.O.T. Show about a scope intended to be the next generation Long Range DAY Optic. So I ordered one. It shipped today.

The Scope is shown here below:

This scope features the H-25 Horus Reticle and has a configuration of 4-16x50 with 30mm tube and a lit reticle.

I quote from their technical specialist:

quote:
After putting our scopes in the hands of dozens of the best shooters and trainers on the armed forces, law enforcement and government ops, and listening carefully to their feedback, we have refined our scope and reticle technology to meet their needs. The new Horus Vision Model 1000 "Falcon" Scope is the result. All the changes may seem trivial and subtle, but that is the beauty of the "Falcon" -- a scope that seems to anticipate everything you need; with controls where you'd expect them, solid construction and protection, illumination for grey light conditions, and so much more. Adjustments are in tenth mils so if you know you are 3/10th mil off, that's a simple 3 clicks to fix.

My intention? Well, since we know so much about both the rifle and the round I intend to place this scope on my M40A3. Then we will hand the rifle at some point to ARCTIC and let him try his cold bore shot at 8XX yards, and see what happens.

I quote their site on further on this scope:

quote:
... a scope that seems to anticipate everything you need; with controls where you'd expect them, solid construction and protection, illumination for grey light conditions, and so much more. Adjustments are in tenth mils so if you know you are 3/10th mil off, that's a simple 3 clicks to fix.

We will report further as this project develops.

Got it mounted and test fired this weekend. So far, so good.
