New Leica Spotting Scope

While at the SLC Sportsman Show I looked at the new Leica 82mm Spotting scope with the 25-50x Wide Angle eyepiece and was super impressed… Have any or you guys or gals purchased one of these and tried it in the field? I am just wanting some feedback before I mortgage the farm and buy one. Looking forward to your feedback! Thanks, NSJ

I did a little homework on this scope after the SHOT show and all reports were that it was fantastic !

Extremely expensive from what I saw though and arguarbly over the top.

The concept is great but unless you need top level digital camera needs I cant see it being packed buy too many guys. The 62 and 77 are hard to beat and vastly cheaper. Or any of the HD Sawro's Zeiss etc..

Great scope but really expensive even for German stds.

I dont think many are in the field yet though ? Only new.
