Re: need a new range finder

Swarovski Laser Guide 8x30 is a great unit. Had mine out this weekend and successfully ranged a target at 1720. Although they are $1k new, you can find them used on Ebay and Gunbroker in the $700 range. Bought mine used and a buddy bought his used. Have not had any problems with them at all. Even if there is a problem, their warranty transfers so you can send it back to Swarovski and they will fix/replace and return for free.

You might consider looking at the Leica 1600 as well.

Re: need a new range finder

I have a friend who just bought a zeiss rf that is really nice, its good to 1300 i think. Then his wife got him a set of leica geovid rangefinder binoculars so hes gonna sell his zeiss. they have never been in the field just out to play around with. so if you are interested in a good deal on a barely used zeiss rf let me know
