Re: moa multiplier for 1/10 scope adjustment
millerlite,
[ QUOTE ]
is bullet drop in inches, divided by yardage, multiplied by 95.49,which gives you minutes of angle,
[/ QUOTE ]
So your multiplier is 95.49 which comes from (100/1.04720). This number is always the same, it does not change. Once you know the number of MOAs if your scope is calibrated 4 clicks to one MOA then you multiply the answer by 4, if your scope is calibrated 8 clicks per MOA then you multiply the answer by 8 and if your scope is calibrated in 10 clicks per MOA then you multiply by 10 to know the total numbere of clicks to adjust.
Example:
Distance = 536 yards
Impact = 12.5" low
(12.5/536) X 95.49 = 2.23 MOAs.
if 1/4 MOA then 2.23 x 4 = 8.92 clicks, use 9 clicks.
if 1/8 then 2.23 x 8 = 17.84 clicks, use 18 clicks.
if 1/10 then 2.23 x 10 = 22.3 clicks, use 22 clicks.
Note: My scope has 4 clicks to 1 MOA. Since it has the MOAs calibrations lines on the turret, I just move it 2 MOAS and one click since .23 is close enough to 0.25 which would make for 1 click.
I hope this helps.
