Re: Millet LRS 1 project

How do the adjustments "feel"? What about the power ring? How are the rings that came with it? Is the side focus nice and smooth? Do the numbers on the turrets line up perfect when you adjust?

Trying to decide between this and a Bushnell 6500...

ALignment is perfect, clicks are loud and crisp, the locker turns down and snugs up.Structure wise everything works very well, the rings have the big nut on the base attachment that make it very easy to get a solid ,tight mount.

Got it zeroed today, the wind and rain was nonstop so I didnt get to shoot as long as I planned. The last group at 100 on paper was a ragged hole, good time to stop.Grouped well out to 300 and I didnt get to shoot any further. So far so good,Ill get out and do some ranging over the next couple weeks.

Worked out the mills out to 600 today, ringing my flywheel gong is way funner than shooting paper!Shooting in a heavy croswind I worked out from 200-600 and then came back to 2o0 stopping long enough to hit the ground and fire a quick shot at each 100 yard pile of rocks, worked out great.Ill work from 700-1000 next trip, have to do some reloading first!

Used the dots instead of adjusting for the shot with the adjustments?

Re: Millet LRS 1 project

Yes sir,I dial in my zero, stick to one power ,10x,and then figure out wich mil or 1/2 mil as it may turn out is accurate at each 100 yard incriment out to whatever the max range I may shoot at,1000yards for this rifle, may be.Yhis data is written on the side of my stock for quick reference, complete lack of short term memory syndrome, and then I practice right up until hunting season. We practice stopping the tuck when we spot a good rock at various ranges and making the shot with a quick range and prone shot of the bipod, with some practice I get familiar with the mils and wont have to look at my data.
