I don't know if Leupold will put this retical in your scope. Nightforce's NP-R1 retical is being copied or similar ones by other companies. Many long range shooters like this type over the mil-dot. The TMR should be a good one.

It's maddening that Leupold does not produce an MOA reticle! As far as I know, there are two companies that offer MOA reticles and that is NightForce and Vortex.

Shortly I'll be selling my MK4 and going with the NightForce and NPR1 reticle.

At one time though, I think Leupold offered an MOA reticle in a spotting scope.

Don't leave out the first and foremost company that frequently is the leader in all
this stuff, US Optics. I would guess that Premier and S&B also offer them.

Take a close look at the Vortex Viper PST scopes. They come in MOA & MIL. Also you can get them in FFP + SFP. The turrets are the same as the reticals.

PS: A lot of guys rate them better that Leupold. I have read that the PST glass is the same as the HD. If it is the glass is better than Knight Force from what I have read.

Re: Mil dot or Tmr? M1 or Target?

I would go for the TMR, it's very nice. I like 1/2 mil marks and lines better than dots.

The knobs that would go best with them are the new M5 knobs, which are .1 mil and will match the reticle. Unfortunately I think it will be quite some time before Leupold will retrofit them into existing scopes; for now the way to get them is on a new scope (trade or sell yours).

Re: Mil dot or Tmr? M1 or Target?

I ended up sending it off and getting the tmr reticle. I have shooter ballistic program on my phone and it will do the elevation in moa and the windage in mil. Thanks for all the suggestions.
