LRD reticle?

I am looking at getting a Leupold scope for my Weatherby .338-06. I plan to use the rifle for elk, bear, deer, pretty much anything.

I'm not sure whether to go with a standard Duplex reticle or with the LRD reticle. What is the advantage of the LRD? Thanks.
