Re: Long range varnmit scope?

Here is a webpage article that helped me choose the scope that I did. http://www.6mmbr.com/optics.html It listed the Leupold 8.5-25x50LR as the best buy in highpower zoom scopes. IT cuts through all the crap.

Re: Long range varnmit scope?

I've got a Burris Black Diamond 8-32 x 50mm thats an awsome piece of glass , I think its actualy a little more clear than my Leo LR but not quiet at good as the Nikon Tactical I just got. 8-32 power is alot of magnification , in fact to much for me

Re: Long range varnmit scope?

Get the Bushnell Elite 4200 6X24. Get the one that has dot rather than the Duplex reticle. I have the older Bausch & Lomb Elite 4000 mounted on my 222 Remington Magnum, excellent scope for varminting if not for duplex reticle which is too thick for shooting little critter, like squirrels or PD. The 42MM objective is perfect for mounting the scope lower which is more desirable. For clarity, the B&L is up there with scope costing 3 times as much and I'll bit, will look better in that Cooper.

Re: Long range varnmit scope?

my vote is for Leupold a 6.5x20 extended focus range 1" tube will work on any rifle.Price is with in reason, very clear optics at long range.I have had nothing but problems with other brands as to clarity at long range and lack of enough verticle come ups. Leupold handles recoil better than most.Have no experence with Nightforce$$$$ but they have always looked super.

Nightforce NXS should be about the best you can find out there. Don't forget a Swaro rangefinder so you know what to dial in.

I agree Nightforce Rocks I left Leupold once I tried the Nighforce NXS Scopes......... The Sarovski range finder is awsome as well.......
