Leupold VX-7

Has anyone here seen one of these scopes yet??? Leupold does not even have it on there website yet. I read an article about the "New for 07 Leupold VX-7 line of scopes" it said they would make a 3.5x14x50 30mm tube with new xtended twilight lens for $1499 and a 4.5x18x56 30mm tube for $1899.
WOW a $1000 price jump over a VX-III they had better be something special !!!!!!!!

I like the power of the New Leupolds but at that price Nightforce is looking better.

Re: Leupold VX-7

i saw a picture of one on the new varmint hunter magazine, and wasn't overly impressed with how they look. $1000 more better =a lot better scope.

would be interested in comparing them side by side.

They won't be available till later in the year. The two 56mms show mid '07 on my price sheet.

Re: Leupold VX-7

I personally that those of us who gravitate toward the high-end optics (no one is worse than me) have been had. These scope makers will charge what the market will bear. If we demonstrate a willingness to pay $1500.00+ for a scope, why shouldn’t Leupold get a piece of the action?

I don’t know….

Meanwhile I’m mounting a S&B on a rifle …

They saw me coming miles away.
