I have a Kenai 25-60x80mm in the for sale section listed for a good price if anyone is interested.

I've got the Leupold 12-40x60 Gold Ring HD scope and will say it's a darn good buy. Crystal clear optics, light weight, and a good soft sided field case that will keep it protected. Much better than the other Leupold scopes I've looked through.

6.5Express,

I've used a Leupold 12-40x60 Gold Ring HD a bit and noticed that the focus had to be readjusted whenever I changed magnification. Does yours do the same?

Yes. But, I am usually fine tuning the focus on any scope after changing magnification. No - it's not the HD Swaro, but for the price range, I've not seen anything I'd buy over it. For me though, a scope has to have good, clear optics and be somewhat light weight / packable.

I've liked Leupold rifle scopes & been very disappointed with Leupold binoculars. I'm curious where this stands on the bang-for-buck scale.

I love Swarovski, but not the $3,000+ price. These kits are selling for $900 with soft-case & two eye-pieces.

Any insight would be appreciated.
I cant speak for that MODEL...but my wife's Leupold 12-40 X 60 spotter is top notch.

My own Pentax is only a tad better ( clearer) and has a removeable eyepiece....and if I were looking for something even better...it would be the 80mm Kowa with ED glass
