Leupold Reticle Swap?

Hi All,
Has anyone had experience of a reticle change on their Leuppy by either Premiere or Leupold?
Is the integrity of the scope in any way compromised? Is the work Guarenteed?
Your general opinions would be very much welcomed.

Thanks.

Ian.

Re: Leupold Reticle Swap?

If Premier does it the factory warranty is void they have there own warranty when they make a change to cover the scope. If Wally Sieberg (need to get his # on Benchrest.com I've just have his address) makes a change doesn't void factory warranty. I've had Premier and Wally work on my scopes and both do a great job. If looking for just a standard reticle I'd go with Leupold maybe save alittle hassle.

Re: Leupold Reticle Swap?

Hi,

This is my first post here - I've been lurking for a while though. In any event, I have a Premier Reticles / Leupold Mark 4 M1 10x40 with the Gen2 reticle installed in it. I was curious about the warranty issue so I emailed Leupold customer service in regards to it. This is what I got in reply:

Leupold Customer Service

Phone (503) 526-1400
Reference Call #

Caller: - xxxxxx xxxxxxx
Phone: (604)xxx-xxxx
Summary: Reticle change

Hernan,
A simple reticle installation by Premier will not void your scope's warranty. However, before you decide on the Gen 2 reticle, I recommend that you check out our TMR (tactical mil ranging reticle). You can find information on our website at leupold.com.

So, it looks like a simple reticle change by Premier won't void the warranty. Now having said this, it is advisable to send the scope to Perier if you have any issues with it as all the work done is covered by their warranty. HTH's...

Anyone have a number for Premiere or their website? I did a search on google but only come up with chat forums talking about them with no info.

Re: Leupold Reticle Swap?

Just to add to this Leupold will repair foc even when Premier Ret have power boosted, changed the reticule and stripped the scopes down, checked and adjusted accordingly.
However Leupold will only repair to standard spec then ship to PR for modifications.
